Charles Allen: Working Toward His Dreams

Charles Allen opened his Special Matched Savings Account with WWBIC and Wisconsin Promise on August 3rd, 2016. Charles is 15 and will be saving for a laptop for school. Charles does not currently have a job, but he thought of many creative ways to earn and save money, including helping out around the house to earn an allowance and helping his mother, Jalong Evans, at her newly opened group home business. He is also trying to cut back on spending in order to reach his savings goal of $25 per month.

Charles is very excited about basketball and is working hard to make the team at his school. He definitely wants to go to college when he graduates and might want to be a sports therapist. With the help of the PROMISE program and WWBIC Financial Education, Charles is excited to become more independent and work towards his dreams.
