Enjoying the Journey

What’s Your Path?

College is meant to prepare you for the real world. It is meant to give you the tools you need to succeed. Life is an adventure, college is all about the process of finding our path. At the beginning we are going uphill. Everything is new and things seem to be changing too fast. There are new, harder classes and different relationships to navigate, not to mention the added struggle of figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life. It is all a matter of time. Fear not there is hope for the future!

Looking Ahead

Towards the end of college we are on our way downhill. For example, the term at the end of sophomore year for me was one of the best terms. I took classes that coordinated well together and all were about things I was interested in. I met a new group of friends, and even got my first A.

Now I am entering my junior year and things are very different than how they were at the beginning. I have figured out what my major is. The classes I will be taking all relate to my major and my interests. By now I know who my friends are and where things are on campus. Now I know what road I’m on.

Finding Your Passion

There are going to be bumps and turns in the road, but at least now I have a road. It is a wonderful feeling to have found your passion. Now you get to take charge and decide what to do with it. For some this takes a small amount of time for others this can take quite a while and this is okay. The important thing to remember is to enjoy the journey.
