How to Make Your Own Tablet Or Book Stand in Under 3 Minutes

Using a table or book stand can give a person with disabilities more independence, and it can be made quickly and inexpensively.

Theresa Willkomm, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of New Hampshire, came up with this design for an adjustable, durable, portable, low-cost stand using recycled corrugated plastic campaign signs. She asked 30 of her occupational therapy students to make these to give away to individuals with disabilities.  One of the lessons they learned is that ordinary, everyday items can be used in extraordinary ways.
